Hi everyone,
Hoping someone here has some firsthand insight!
I recently received In-Principle Approval (IPA) for my LTVP after marrying my Singaporean spouse just about a month ago. Surprisingly, the ICA portal states that the pass is valid for 3 years – which caught me off guard, since I’ve always read that regular LTVPs usually start at 1–2 years, and 3 years is typically reserved for LTVP+.
That said:
The IPA does not mention “LTVP+” anywhere – just “LTVP.”
We’ve been married less than a month, with no children.
I’ve been living in Singapore for almost 10 years, working here until recently and have a strong history of stable residence.
So I’m wondering – is it possible ICA has granted me a regular LTVP with an unusually long 3-year validity, or could it still be LTVP+ and they just haven’t labelled it clearly in the IPA?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s received a 3-year LTVP (not +) on first application, or who only found out it was LTVP+ on the day of collection. Trying to understand what to expect before the formalities.
Thanks in advance!
