Hi all sharing the new process of completion formalities under the new system.
Applied ltvp on Jan 2 2025
Ltvp approved Mar 5 2025
Upon approval, was asked 3 things via MyICA website.
1.to agree to terms and conditions
2.to do medical examination and upload the medical result
3.to upload passport if there's any change of passport from date of application
All communications and uploading of documents is via the ICA website. They will notify you via email for updates only and will ask you to log in to myICA page to complete action.
I uploaded my medical report on the 2nd week of March. We were advised to wait within 10 days for the next step.
After 8 days, was advised to make payment online. As soon as we paid, we received an appointment letter/IPA to complete formalities at ICA bldg on May 8 2025.
So I need to wait for another month and a half for the formalities.
Please note that the date was given by ICA and its automatically given upon payment. Unlike previously, you can choose date and book appointment to complete the formalities.
Another thing to highlight is that the IPA letter states that I can only reschedule or change to another date within 3 months from May 8. Cannot change backwards or at an earlier date.
To check whether its true or not, we tried to reschedule to an earlier slot using the link on the IPA letter and true enough, March and April calendar are unavailable and that we were only given option to reschedule or change from the date given. In my case, May 8 onwards..
The appointment letter/IPA is simple and straightforward. It stated that its valid until May 8 and it includes a pre-approved visa for entry in Singapore and that the it will be canceled if I am unable to complete the formalities on May 8 or if I didn't abide to Singapore laws within this period.
Also, no need to bring a lot of documents. Just bring appointment letter, passport and workpass or visit pass if theres any.
The appointment letter also stated not to wear colored or cosmetics lenses. Probably for photo taking.
Hope this helps
Love
Pambuk

Congratulations on your application approval. May I know if you had pre-marriage approval also? or this is without the pre-marriage approval

Hi
Didn't take PMLA as I'm working in Singapore already and have work pass.

I wanted to know if you tried calling or email ica to prepone the appointment as in our case. I am a SPR and applied LTVP for my father and it took 2 weeks to get approved and we submitted the required documents next day on 3rd July and then after 9 days it went to next stage of payment and auto appointment on 26th August now my father for some important work need to travel on 17th August(already booked tickets) and might not return for at least 3 months or so and this becomes a deadlock situation for us.

Hi guys,
I'm hoping for some clarity because I'm going around in circles between the case officer at ICA I've been emailing and the team i've been speaking to via their hotline.
My husband and I (currently not in SG yet) have received the letter confirming we've reached the final stage of the LTVP application, with the ICA appoinment date of 22 Sept 25.
When I called the ICA hotline (i had some issues trying to reschedule for a later date), they reminded me to ensure that my IPA (the very first approval letter that was issued to us as part of the LTVP application process) was still valid before I rescheduled the appointment.
So i submitted the feedback form to extend the IPA and have been assigned to a case officer who doesn't seem to understand that I need to extend the IPA.
Can i clarify that i haven't misunderstood the process and requirements, that if our IPA letter states its valid for 2 months, and expires on 16 Sep 25, that we WILL need an extension before we can book in the ICA appointment for a later date? OR is everyone misunderstanding each other, and i can actually apply for the extension under the "extension of short term visit pass" on the ICA website?
Even the assigned ICA appointment date falls after the validity period of the IPA so I'm just making sure I get the dates correct before we fly back.
Thanks in advance and would appreciate any feedback!!

We are not ICA and cannot advise you. Call ICA hotline again during SG office hours and get an officer to respond to you immediately instead of waiting for emails back & forth with them. Ask all your questions at one go.
“The appointment date falls after the IPA validity date. What is the next step? How do I extend IPA validity? Do I need to extend the STVP?”

Thanks for your response but do you not think I have done that? in my post I’ve mentioned that I’ve called them and have also submitted the extension via the feedback form as instructed. my issue is that I’m getting CONFLICTING information from the people over the hotline and the officer responding to my emails.
So I’m trying to gain some clarity with people who have recently gone through the process because I don’t know if something has changed.

Thanks for your response but do you not think I have done that?
That’s why I mentioned to call
again to clarify. Not everyone who goes through this process will be on this forum or know of this forum.
You tell the officer that on a previous phone call that the officer mentioned XYZ but on the email another officer mentioned ABC. You request to speak to a senior person in charge of these matters (if possible) to get everything ironed out.
Then ask the staff on the phone if can email you what was discussed so at least you have some form of documentation.
