PR IPA Letter Received - Planning in-person Appointment at ICA

Post by ThunderTRice » Thu, 20 Mar 2025 6:13 am

Hi Folks,

My PR application has been approved and I received the IPA letter last week. =D>

I am currently living outside of Singapore and will need to return to attend an in-person appointment at the ICA.

Can anyone advise how long I will need to plan to be in the country to attend the medical appointment, receive the results of the HIV and TB tests, apply for the insurance then attend the meeting at the ICA?

Am I right in thinking I need to wait 7 days for the insurance to be approved before the in-person meeting? Do I also need to allow to wait a few days after the ICA appointment to pick up the IC card once it has been produced?

I applied in May 2024, which I believe was under the old system.

Any advice or experience welcomed. Thank you!

I’m actually working on developing an app that addresses similar questions and processes, so I totally get where you're coming from! It can be tricky to navigate all the requirements. If I ever run into any challenges during development, I reach out to experts in mobile development for assistance. I’m sharing this sincerely, hoping it might be helpful! Let me know if you need any further tips or info
Congrats on getting your PR approved! From what I’ve heard, the whole process can take around 2–3 weeks if everything goes smoothly. The medical checkup results usually take a few days, but it depends on the clinic. Insurance approval can take up to a week, and yes, you’ll need that before the ICA appointment. After your ICA visit, you might have to wait another week or so for your IC card

Thanks Rappress,

This is encouraging. Do you know whether the outcome of the medical tests is required before I complete the health declaration or are the two completely separate?
