Regarding PR with new system

Post by ParasKapoor1 » Sun, 09 Mar 2025 2:27 pm

Hi everyone,

I applied for PR under the new system on February 27, 2025. I am an EP holder and have been living in Singapore for nine years—two years as a student and seven years as a working professional. Originally from Northern India, I am 33 years old and currently working in the F&B industry, earning between $8K and $9K per month.

Additionally, my fiancée applied for the Pre-Marriage Long-Term Visit Pass Assessment (PMLA), which was approved within three days. We are set to get married in July 2025.

I would greatly appreciate any advice any insights into the new system.

Thank you!

PMLA is only for prospective spouses of Singapore citizens. You’re not SC, how did your fiancée get approved?

Hi,

Since she is an SC (which is why my PMLA was successful) and we are getting married in July 2025, I wanted to do my best to secure something through the skilled worker route before the wedding. last try with my single application. Thanks for the reply.

I see, could have made it clearer in your post that your fiancée is SC.

Don’t bother wasting your money now. Wait 2-3 years after marriage and ask your wife to sponsor your PR under family ties scheme.

Don’t switch to LTVP after marriage. Try to stay on EP as long as you can.
