For more than 20 years, I've watched people ask question like, "When did you apply", "How long since you submitted...", "did they ask for", "when did the button disappear", "did you get an update", "what color were your shoes when you applied"... OK, maybe not that last one, but close... and the rest of the questions are just as useless as asking about shoes.
And over the last 20 years, I've not see one of these questions bear any relevance to what actually has happened to the poster asking the question. You get your answer when you get your answer. There is no crystal ball.
There is no relationship between what is happening to another applicant and what is happening to you. "Submit Docs" button went away for someone? So what? Another applicant got a letter in the mail? Big deal. What does that mean to you? Nothing. You're "Submit Docs" button will go away when the gahmen decides it should go away. They don't say, "Oh shit, we made Johnny's button go away, we better make Mary's button go away, too," because they've been asking about it on Singapore Expats.
Play this silly game, if you wish, but realize it gives you no real information and more often than not, creates additional stress as you wonder why another person gets their EP or their PR while you sit and wait.
There is NO RELATIONSHIP between the processing and wait times for you and anyone else. Do you go and check out everyone else's lotto tickets to see if they might have the winning number for the next Toto drawing?
The gahmen makes sure your application is filled out. The gahmen asks for additional information when they want it. The gahmen researches your background to whatever level they desire. The gahmen scores you one way or another, and no matter what you ask, they are never going to tell you what the scoring process is.
so, RELAX... you've spun the roulette wheel. You must wait until the white ball drops before you know if you've won or lost. Asking the croupier how long it takes the ball to fall will make no difference.
