Applied 7 May 2024
Approved yesterday 17 February 2025

Have been through so many different passes in SG:

2010-2018 3 student passes
2018-2021 EP (renewed once)
June 2021 till now PR

My background:
Chinese Indonesian 33 yo single male
Have a diploma in music and bachelor in business admin from local Singapore institution

Currently full time working as admin executive in a Singapore autonomous university and part time as music teacher in a small music studio. Salaries are $4150 and $1400 respectively. (For the former, I got a $150 raise so last week I updated ICA with my latest payslip)

Didn’t expect it to take so fast. Was lucky that when I applied for PR I also waited for about the same time (9 months). A lot of people in the forum has been saying local integration is the most important factor and yet there is no concrete way to prove this to ICA; this is just my conjecture but I think the way see that I am integrated is from the fact that in my 14 years in Singapore, I always lived in HDBs in neighbourhood areas and not in expat enclaves or condos, after all close to 70% of Singaporean live in HDB too.
Secondly, I seldom leave SG and when I do, I usually am out of SG for maximum two weeks per year. And looking back I always in SG during the National Day.

As I said that’s just my thought but you might want to follow my footstep if you’re thinking to apply PR or SC in the future

What makes you think the processing time is reducing? What makes you think that just because one person got approved in X amount of time that another person will as well?
