Couldn't locate my FIN

Post by Akaur04 » Mon, 27 Jan 2025 1:31 pm

My husband studied in Singapore from 2017-2019. Now we have applied for Australian PR, but need FIN for his COC. Anyone knows alternatives?

He must've been emailed an IPA (in principle approval) letter before he came to Singapore - usually the FIN is there?

Write to the company that he worked for here in SG?
SG Bank account may have it too
SPF for COC will be able to retrieve it via his Passport No

Tring checking with MOM as well...I'm sure they have the FIN records.

Hi for those of you looking to get a FIN number from ICA and then apply for a COC from SPF, I wanted to share my experience. I was concerned after reading previous posts about how difficult it might be to get the FIN and whether the Singapore COC would be easy to obtain. It turns out, it wasn't as bad as I feared! I actually found my FIN number in an old email from a previous tourist visit to Singapore. To confirm, I also emailed ICA, and they replied within a week with instructions on what documents to submit. After submitting the required documents, I received my FIN number and then applied for my COC from the Singapore SPF. The entire process, from my initial email to ICA to receiving my COC, took about three weeks, even with the Christmas and New Year holidays.
