Considering PR, looking for advice !

Post by priyagp » Sun, 19 Jan 2025 12:42 pm

Hello all ,
I am a 23 year old (Female) Indian, Its been three years since I moved to SG for my masters in NUS and I am currently working in Research at NUS (Bio surveillance and bioinformatics ) under govt funded grant. I am under EP now with a validity of 5 years. I love singapore and I have always loved singapore and It’s part of the reason why I moved here for my masters. I have unique skill sets and background that’s kinda in demand. I am considering settling down in SG now and since my interest is in genetic testing, I am slowly trying to build skills to find a potential career path. I was just wondering what are my chances in acquiring a PR ? I love SG community and I feel like I can do better here and be valuable.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Chances are slim I feel .keep EPpass and you may have chance in the Singapore JB joint economic zone .Loving Singapore or the community is of no use.it goes by ratio of the races Indian community is minority and the quota is small and fill up quickly. You can always try no harm to try.

Stay & work longer in SG, contribute something good/important in your research/field, earn higher. This will give you a good chance for PR.
