Seeking Advice: PR Application Pending Beyond 6 Months

I submitted my PR application in early July 2024, and it has now been over six months with no updates from the ICA. The system indicates that the usual processing time is within six months, but it also mentions that some applications might take longer.

I’m unsure about what to do next. Should I just continue waiting, or is it advisable to email the ICA to request an update?

Additionally, has anyone received positive results under the new application system? I’d appreciate any advice or shared experiences!

Yes, I think you may reach out to the ICA to ask for an update, but please also expect a standard response. Under the new system, we don't know if the ICA is able to provide a more detailed update when applicants reach out. Let us know here if you do reach out and what the response was.

Seems like 6 months commitment is only on paper with conditions, situation remains same after with the updated system.

hey @underlum918 may i know which FORM you used? and how did you submit it to ICA? via email?

it's a FormSG that you can find from ICA website below 'Feedback' section.

However, you may also will get the general Response from them only
as mentioned before, My wife even try reach MP session to direct enquiry ICA, but we reply as "noted and please wait outcome"
