Thanks for detailed info bro. For renunciation, need to go with full family to BLS? Did you surrender Indian passport of all the family members at the same time?

@rajasg hi bro, after receiving IPA email, did they give you a timeframe on how soon to complete the processes or you can make appointment at your convenient time? I have submitted my application a week ago, and waiting for approval. But in the meantime, I've gotten a very good offer overseas and I've accepted the offer. Now I'm worried, what if I receive the IPA letter, and the process takes too long that I won't be able to apply long leave to complete the formalities. Unless I make multiple trips each time which is gonna cost a bomb. Could you share based on your experience, how long is the timeframe between each step, and if you can make appointments at your own convenient time so I can plan my leaves accordingly. Understand that during renunciation I may have to wait for passport issuance until I can fly back. Appreciate your insights, thank you

you mean to say...you applied for Singapore Citizenship a week ago? and you are waiting for approval? and you are worried you may not have time to complete the formalities WHEN you get the IPA?

Firstly, bold of you to assume you'd even get approval. you should be worried if you even get to keep your PR once your REP expires.

It doesn't even matter if you are a Malaysian Chinese. You have already become ineligible for SC as soon as you accepted your overseas job. read here: https://ask.gov.sg/ica/questions/clxwhk ... rom=topics

Unless I am grossly misunderstanding your post, I don't understand why you are applying for Citizenship when you have already made the decision to move out of Singapore. People like you are the reason why SG Govt is very strict on who they give out citizenships to.
