Long term visit pass for Thai wife

Post by regiustjx » Mon, 16 Dec 2024 9:59 pm

Hi all,

Need some help on the documents required.

Under this section for employment (screenshot below). Can my soon-to-be wife need to provide the income tax assessment only or does she need to include the receipt for the payment as well?

She is currently residing in Thailand and is preparing the documents, but the tax payment receipt can't be officially notarized upon translation. Hence, I am asking for help if the tax receipt is required too?

Many thanks!

I don’t have any experience with this, but logically:

1. A slash normally means or, not and.
2. The intention appears to be to know what she has earned as taxable income, not to make sure she is current in making payments to the tax authorities in Thailand.
3. If you have a logical reason for not including the receipt that can be explained, I really doubt they would not accept your explanation, if they even ask for it (I would be surprised if they did).

I use the word logical several times above because that is what will be used to assess your case. They do not typically nit pick on things that have no logical basis (unless there are other logical reasons behind doing so - e.g. they suspect something).
