Potentially moving to Singapore in January and although have a good handle on most questions I would be grateful for a couple of answers to things a little less important
I will be renting (obviously) and will need to get broadband etc installed so can someone advise how long this usually takes to install/activate and any suggestions of a good provider (will be a one year lease so long contracts not ideal)
Also my wife and I will need a local option for our phone contacts - we used esims on previous visits but that was cost effective only for a week or two so need an option for longer term (a year) can be data only I suppose or if phone calls then UK calls in and out might be a benefit but likely v expensive I’m guessing?
Thanks in advance as have found the forums very helpful so far

Starhub for internet and SingTel for mobile phone contracts. SingTel has the best network.

Simba probably has the best deal on mobile plans at the moment. My BIL pays around $12/month for a post-paid plan with them and is happy with it… I was surprised that they even give a generous amount of free monthly data while roaming overseas, without any added fees. Hard to beat.

Issue is that you can’t buy a prepaid card before arriving in SG, unless you buy an international one in your home country.
