It could be a scam. There's been some IRAS ones around. Log directly onto IRAS (don't click links) and check your account.

Long time no see mate. Where are you these days?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Definitely a SCAM.

From the wording alone… “please take a moment to review all of your refund details” — that is not the IRAS.

A very common scam. You get an email. You are either notified that a large charge has been made against some account of yours or, like you, you get notice of a refund. Of course, you have no idea what the charge or refund is about and the email conveniently gives you a number to call if you have questions.

But, if you do call, you will soon find that they are asking you for all sorts of information so that they can "verify" the charge or refund. Woe to the muppet who actually gives them any information.
