Hi everyone,
I need an opinion of some expertise regarding our PMLA Application. It's already been a month and 1 week since we applied Pre-Marriage and yet Results to our Application still Pending which means it's still in the process right?
I have visited her last year and we in contact with each for more than 1 year now and also she makes upto 3ooo sgd/month. Has a rental Place with 2 rooms to live and already got Approved her new Hbd with 4 rooms now.
Now my partner and I are stuck weather we should wait for the results or should already submit a Visit Visa since we have Applied at the ROM and also Paid for the Reception to Marry after a Month.
My Fiancé's girlfriend got rejected her boyfriends PMLA within a month (then they applied his Visit Visa and got Married at SG also got their LTVP ) and told to withdraw the application by ICA. It's been a month and she suggested Us that we should wait for another week and might end up getting it Approved cuz it'll be 6 weeks already!
Don't what's really happening ICA won't even respond to my Fiancé's email she sent them last week!
Shall we go with the Visit Visa Now ? any Suggestions.... also it's stressing the Embassy might also reject my Visit Visa since they already know my Intentions are to marry a SG girl......

Sounds almost like a marriage of convenience is being attempted. Where are you from? You age? Her age?

Since it's already been over a month, waiting another week might be a good idea, just in case it gets approved soon.

Hi, I know this is an old topic but I was looking around online to see if someone have been in my same situation. We're 5 weeks into our PMLA's processing time. I'm 27, Singaporean, and BF is 28, Chilean. I have a uni degree and been working for 2 years, monthly income of about 2.8k. BF makes about half of that through remote work. Been LDRS for over 6 years, and have visited each other's countries. ICA should have his records for his visit. Neither of us have any criminal records.
I've since sent an enquiry to their askbox to hopefully see what is up, because it is quite anxiety inducing to see that our application is taking so long. Were you eventually able to get the results of your PMLA?

Hi eelenoj, I have curious, has your PMLA been approved yet? My own PMLA also has been delayed; it slightly over a month now.

Hi, yes it's been approved and we''ve already scheduled ROM marriage with plans to apply for LTVP after! A few days after sending my enquiry, I get the notification that my results had been approved followed with a reply to the initial enquiry reminding me that it has been approved. Part of me wonders if they had intended to approve it earlier but didn't get to it until I asked what's up?
Perhaps you could try your luck sending them an enquiry? Under the "Contact US" page on ICA's website, I chose the "Others" option under their long list of Feedback enquiries. My PMLA matter wasn't the only time I used their feedback system, they're quite responsive in my experience. I hope everything goes well for you!

Thank you very much! So total, it was about more than 5 weeks for the processing time, was it? Thank you for the instructions on going to the "Contact US" page on ICA's website, and to chose the "Others" option under their long list of Feedback enquiries.

Yup, between 5 to 6 weeks for me exactly. Again, I hope your submission will be met with success

I have contacted ICA via email using the method you suggested. ICA replied back saying that they are still reviewing the application
We are now quite worried and stressed as it's been already 7 weeks. It is a bit of a shock as my income as a sponsor should be sufficient (around $5.8K) and she is working as well on a work permit as a degree holder as a desktop computer engineer with a salary of $2.4K.
our ROM is scheduled to be on late July but now with the delay, we are thinking if we should postpone it.
I am genuinely unsure why ICA would take such a long time to review our PMLA application as we have heard of others getting it approved within 3 weeks. Right now, we are in limbo as it is neither approved nor rejected. I am unsure if seeing my MP will make a difference in having the outcome delivered earlier.

I'm so sorry to hear that

At least it is still under consideration...? I'd like to think your application would receive a final update by end of April, so there's no need to postpone ROM for now.
Has your fiance sought for approval from MOM to marry you? From what I just checked, that outcome is far more important than a PMLA, and it could be what is taking the application so long to get approved? (If she is on Employment Pass or S pass there is no need for this) MOM's marriage approval online form can easily be looked up online if you are curious.

Yes, we had earlier applied for permission to marry from MOM and received it before starting to apply for the PMLA. We had attached the MOM approval letter as part of the PMLA. Which is why we found the circumstances for the delay really puzzling.
