Which are most effective hair straighteners?

help, moved here from uk and left my beloved GHD's behind! Havent found any here.

Anyone any idea which hair straighteners are the best?? My hair is quite stubborn! I dont want it chemically straightened as i love my curls most of the time but i love straight hair too!

Please help!
