People will move virtually anywhere for a high enough paycheck (including an oil rig in some distant part of the world with cold, rough seas), but Singapore is also a good lifestyle destination. If money wasn't a constraint Singapore would top my list of places where I'd want to reside.
You cannot own a nice house in Singapore with a backyard and space. You cannot own a nice car in Singapore. You cannot go on a long drive etc.aster wrote: ↑Sat, 14 Sep 2024 12:52 amPeople will move virtually anywhere for a high enough paycheck (including an oil rig in some distant part of the world with cold, rough seas), but Singapore is also a good lifestyle destination. If you own your property and your kids are already out of school then I don't think that costs are that high (I wouldn't want a car and I take public transport over taxis). The only thing that sticks out is the high cost of booze.![]()
I've had a big house with big garden and a nice car which which I have taken long drives. But that no longer interests me as much, at least not at this point in time. For some this might be the dream and something to look forward to, for me it's quite the opposite.Wd40 wrote: ↑Sun, 15 Sep 2024 1:17 pmYou cannot own a nice house in Singapore with a backyard and space. Singapore is great for a short stint and it is very efficient and practical if you want to save lots of money.
