Travel insurance for emergency medical expenses.

Post by pjamas » Thu, 15 Aug 2024 4:04 pm

Hello All!

I really need to sort out travel insurance, primarily for the emergency medical insurance (repatriation and liability would be good too) for my weekend trips in Asia but am running into a brick wall.

- my UK travel policy is invalid as I am outside of UK for >90 days and not leaving and returning from there
- our work policy covers accident only, so no help if you get cerebral malaria or have a heart attack/stroke (!)
- travel policies I have looked into so far in Singapore only cover you if you've been here 183 days. I have been here 3 months.

Does anyone know of an insurance company, here or abroad that will cover this?!

Thank you

PJ

I think I solved my own problem. Very reasonable quotes although I would prefer higher cover. If anyone knows of anything better please post

You can check with FWD or Cigna.
