Chance of getting PR 2024

Post by kampungChicken » Wed, 05 Jun 2024 1:30 pm

Profile:
Race: South Asian (Others category)
Age: 29
Staying in Singapore: 4 years
Pass: EP
Base Salary: 8500
Annual Salary: 13000
Occupation: Software Engineer
Degree: Bachelor’s (Home country)
Working in the same big tech company for past 4 years (Joined after graduation)

I have applied PR previously (2 years ago) and was outright rejected within 4 months. I do understand that chance of me getting PR is quite low, but still looking forward to any helpful feedback. I do love living in Singapore & irrespective of whether I get PR or not, I plan to stay here for unforeseen future.

My girlfriend is Singaporean Chinese (We are living together for 3+ years). I know that getting married to local can increase the chances of getting PR, but I don’t like the idea of marrying to get PR.

You know ICA wants babies. Married couples produce babies. You have your answer.

Your profile as a single and Others race getting PR is low in general because you are competing with the rest of the Others applicants who are married with kids.

What is the most important thing in your heart? If she's the love of your life (and if you two have been co-habiting for 3 years it sounds like there are some ties there possibly) do you want to lose her? It's a good possibility if she wants to get married. She may well get tired of waiting as the biological clock keeps ticking. The choice is yours. :-k
