Who makes the larger portion of the 500K/pa? Could have some bearing on it but how much is a good guess that I'm not willing to make. Once she stops working while it shouldn't make any difference due to the reasoning to take care of toddlers, it could if she were the major breadwinner. If you, on the other hand, are the major breadwinner (by a large margin), then it's always possible they could see a flight risk as the little ones aren't near school age so no problem pulling up stakes if a good offer comes your way. But the fact that you have already been here 10 years may hold you in good stead depending on what was written on the other rejection letters. The other visual I see is age, but as you have produced new babies, The age might be a forgiven as she has already passed that hurdle. Age is the only real thing I see aside from the quota restrictions (unless you are making 400k/pa and she only making 100k/pa. Then the flight risk issue is there in the background.
My thoughts? Apply for it with whole family. If rejected, look for A Plan B or greener pastures. There are some who have flogged a dead horse for 4 or 5 applications/rejections and eventually been successful, but they are an anomaly and not very common at all (And without seeing the individuals profiles of each application filed it's hard to give any impressions. Good luck though.
