Industry (quota/priority) for PR? (specifically cyber security)

I know that race among other factors plays a crucial role in attaining a PR status. However, does the industry one belongs to play a "significant" enough factor as well? How would you consider the following profile, specifically with regards to cyber security.

Husband (main applicant) age: 33
Nationality: Others
Industry: Cyber security, work for a FAANG company in a very niche cybersecurity role in a team famous for being world leading in what they do.
Salary: ~190K fixed/base, however over 400K (including stocks and annual bonus etc)
Been in Singapore since 2017

Wife: age 32
Nationality: Others (european)
Is a medical doctor, however hasn't finished her specialisation yet and does not have a medical license in Singapore, so basically a house wife. Got married last year, that is when she relocated from europe to Singapore with me.

Does working in cyber security here, particularly the niche role/expertise that I work in give me any edge? Or am I just as doomed because of my race not being the preferred one. I love Singapore and living in Singapore, so much so that I have passed up 3 separate chances of moving to states with a much higher compensation. However, after getting married this is the first time I want to try for a PR, as otherwise the tech sector has become too unstable to settle down with a family somewhere just based off of a work visa which can be terminated at anytime. I'd rather move on then, not getting any younger.

Reasons will be - Ethnicity as others, married for not long enough and cybersecurity these days is not so in demand as it used to be. If it was something like a experienced neurosurgeon, you would surely have an edge.

cybersecurity is a in field in 2024 along with cloud computing, data science and AI, however as the flyer pointed out it could be other reasons, may be you can consider having a child and apply again ?

Thank you for the responses everyone I haven't even applied the first time yet @rajagainstthemachine. We were planning on waiting a couple of years before adding a baby to the family, doubt that will change.

I will probably try and whip up an application and apply before the year sets and leave the rest to the ICA. If I get an eventual rejection, maybe it's time for me to up and leave finally. Spent 7 great years here and would love for that to continue, but a family demands stability.

@thexpat I am of the firm belief that with regards to "family" ICA has their own split tier definition with a "couple" having a lower rating (but much higher than single) that is also graded on ethnicity as well. The higher tier would be a 'couple' that has become a "Family" (meaning child which tend to generate a somewhat more permanence both to the marriage and the staying in place as opposed to uprooting to possible greener pastures. There are multiple nuances that obviously they (ICA) also take into consideration with the family regard. I am sure are are all given weightage points to help them draw their conclusions. If one thinks about this with open eyes and mind, I'm sure one can see the potential pluses and minuses. So, you might want to think about it after you become a family. (at the moment, there is absolutely nothing to keep you from uprooting at a moments notice as you are the only breadwinner (Not even DINK qualified at the moment). Not being DINK is okay if the spouse isn't working due to raising a family at the family is more important to Singapore (future potential SGC NS man or future baby oven.) The offspring are the future of Singapore. Food for thought.

NB: applying for PR before having a family doesn't mean you will have a family afterwards. Then you are just taking up space and not providing anything for the nation which is ultimately what this is all about from the ICA perspective. They are not going to give up valuable space unless it can produce something of value to the country (but they aren't into 4D or Lotto unless in cannot be helped or you have something of more value to offer like Neurosurgeon or Rocket Scientist).
