You have not disclosed your profile and your resident status in sg. There are many posts in this forum regarding marrying in singapore (you can use the search function on the top right). However, i am not sure if there are many posts here regarding a local marrying a divorced foreigner with a kid. You can search the ICA website to know the steps for marriage in sg and supportive documents required.
I am not sure why you need to apply to MOM? You mean to apply to ICA? For the kid to study here, most likely you have to join him with foreigner fees rate in local school (if he passes AIES or if he can get a slot in local school) or International Schools. PR for kid or mom is nowhere near. Instead, if he is a minor, you can apply citizenship for him/her directly after few years of stay here (assuming you are citizen). If you are pr, then you and the kid can together apply for citizenship after few years. As I'm going to return to Singapore permanently to work, i would like to bring both of them with me.
Just wondering what the process to apply for MOM and also for the child to get PR to be able to study in Singapore as well like the local?
The mother previously worked in sg, does not require permission from MOM to marry. So by your statement, did she work before in SG under a workpermit? If it is so, then it could be an issue and you have to submit "Letter of approval for contract marriage(from MOM)". Then, you should apply for PMLA as stated in previous post. If she was in work permit previously in sg, then pr chances may slightly be affected, however, not sure if you as a sponsor can increase it (as we dont know about your profile).
If they have a quota left out in local school then it may be given your 'foreign' kid and there is a chance to get it since you are the sponsor for the kid. Your status as a singaporean may help a bit to get the left over seats in a local school (if any), but still the kid will be subjected to foreigner admission rules. If no seats left, then might have to go through the AEIS route. May be others can add more to this.My main concern would be the kid's education, what if the boy is currently 5 years old and i would like to apply for neighborhood primary school, would i not be able to use my status as Singaporean?
If he's 5 i.e. entering P1, it's a bit simpler. It's basically a ballot process. Caveats are that he will be lowest priority, you won't be able to choose which school/where, and you should have a back-up plan in case no spots become available. I know i would have to apply to MOM for approval of marriage since the mother had previously worked in Singapore before in the past.

I'm Singaporean and have been attached to China since starting of 2019 for work and still here. You have not disclosed your profile and your resident status in sg.
PR is quite distant i guess from your current scenario (unless you all are of preferred race). Since there is a divorcee involved, they may look for stability of your marriage before considering to give PR for them. Other factors like their nationality, her profile, your salary as a sponsor, CPF contributions and many other things come in to picture. Lets say if you marry now, it may take atleast 2 years for her to be feasible to get pr under your sponsor, as it takes time to have length of stay in sg and your show marriage stability.
Yes, she was previously here with S pass.I am not sure why you need to apply to MOM? You mean to apply to ICA?
