Hi Everyone,
Just closing this thread (up to mods if they want to) with a summary of my entire PR journey:
- Oct 2024 - Applied PR using new system.
- Mar 2025 - Completed the online component of the formalities. This involves the CPF declaration, uploading your passport photo, checking the details of the REP and uploading the medical exam results (if you have medical exam < 2 years to issue an ICA or MOM pass, this also works; just submit the medical declaration and upload the test results to be safe). Your IPA gets extended for 3 more months. Formalities schedule is assigned to you instead (but you can change).
- April 2025 - Completed formalities. The entire process actually takes only 15 mins to finish (not counting the queue wait). You need to wait for 7 more days to schedule an appointment to get your IC. You should be able to download your Entry Permit and Re-Entry permit for 3 months from MyICA. You will also find out your new IC number and its Date of Issue.
This forum has been helpful for my journey. I guess next stop is Citizenship someday

Thank you for sharing. I completed my formalities last week and still waiting to collect the IC. My Singpass now has no cards as the EP was cancelled. I also don’t see the Entry Permit on MyICA as of now. How long did all these systems take to reflect your new NRIC? Did you have to wait until after your IC? Thanks.

Yes @RikkuG. I have requested MOM to update our "race" prior to applying PR through this link:
https://form.gov.sg/5ba84de965171a000fda5f3e
They will request the supporting documents (e.g. proof of ancestry) through email though the approval is on a case-to-case basis.
Hi
@RikkuG @mergeclimb, after MOM approved to change race, when will Singpass reflect the updated race?

You should have gotten it a day or two after the formalities. You have to login to your old Singpass account (with the FIN) to download the Entry Permit and REP as it won't show on your new NRIC account.
You will be assigned a new 'account' so make sure to change your custom user ID before it is deactivated. (e.g. remove it or change it to something else)

A day or two after MOM approves it. Don't forget to refresh the "Personal" page, it's hidden in the " ... " menu at the upper right.
