Citizenship chances

Post by ash23k » Mon, 22 Apr 2024 4:18 pm

Hi All,

I wanted to get your perspective on my chances of getting SC, just submitted my application for 2nd time.

Below are details on our Profile

- Family of 3 (me-41, wife-37 & kid-6), been here for 18 years, PR for last 12 years (Wife and I applied in 2012, got it in 1st attempt), Kid born in SG, got PR on first attempt a few months after birth.
REP renewed twice for all 3 us.
- Race: Indian (I know this won't work in my favor)
- Profession : Me: Director (Cyber Security Sales) in a Fortune 500 MNC, wife: Manager (IT Sales) in a US MNC
- Education: Me: Master in Science (IT Security) from a reputed Indian university, Wife: Master in Technology (Software Engg) from NUS, Kid in K1
- Income: 650 k ++ SGD combined annual income.
- Own 2 condos with sizeable valuation (3.8 mil SGD)

We applied for SC back in 2020 but it was rejected after 2 years of wait. (At that time we have 1 Rep renewed, and income was lower).

Regards,
ASD

Just try right? Objectively, probably not much has really changed since the last application? Meaning you check all of the boxes you did before, and no monumental changes?

There have been others on this board that seem to check a lot of boxes but they are not successful after multiple tries and long waits. There are also newly minted PRs that plan to throw their name into the hat at the two-year mark (could be too fast, but they must have had some favourable attributes to get PR).

At the same time, they draw (most) new SCs from the PR pool, so someone has to get through.
