If your program is an MLM scheme that sells people websites and recruits new layers of members then it is probably illegal here. See the sticky posts at the top of this forum. Such MLM's rip off the lower level people. Hardly anyone makes money except the people who started it. Why would you want to scam other people?

erh..i dont think affiliate marketing is MLM right?

Affiliate Marketing is a pay for performance marketing solution i.e. For advertisers - You only pay commission to the affiliates for referring a sale or when a lead is generated

Or affiliates - If you have your own blog or website, put up an advertisers' banner and sometimes just by referring your vistors to the advertisers' site, you will earn a commission.

MLM requires a person to invest a certain amount of money first, but affiliate marketing doesnt...

It depends on the program. A great many affiliate programs (most that I've seen in fact) pay you for recruiting new "webmasters".

For example, here is a quote from one scumbag affiliate website:

Online Future Cash Super Affiliate Program
OnlineFutureCash.Com Affiliate Program This is one of the best income opportunities in the history of affiliate marketing! Promote the 6 major herbal products offered by this company, and you will receive a generous sales commission of 50% for your direct links. Yes, you read that correctly, 50% Commissions (PAID MONTHLY).

When you sign up other webmasters into the program, their sales in the 2nd tier earn you an additional 5% sales override!

In short, they are a rip off just like all other MLM's.
