PR 2024 Chances

Post by SG2024XYZ » Mon, 12 Feb 2024 11:37 pm

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for PR in the next few months and would like to hear your honest opinion about my chance of getting it approved:

Age: 25
Race: Caucasian (German passport)
Job: Strategy consultant in MNC professional services firm
Education: Bachelor from Germany, Master in Management from local top3 SG uni (First class honour)

Came to Singapore for the first time in 2019 as a 3-month intern (work holiday pass).
After graduation in Germany, I came back to SG as a marketing analytics specialist for a major medtech firm for around 1 year ++ (From Dec 2020 - end of 2021 under S-Pass). Afterwards I pursued a Master in Management at a local top3 SG uni from 2022 - 2023 and did an internship in the same firm as I’m being now (Student pass).

Since autumn 2023, I’m working in strategy consulting under an EP and reach the 6 months treshold to apply soon.

Salary is somewhere close to the min. Eligibility salary for EP considering I’m a fresh grad. Moreover, I have mainly stayed in the west.

Happy to hear your opinion about my chance of getting my PR application approved. Thank you!

Don’t bother until you have paid at least two years of income tax or after one renewal of EP. The “apply after 6 months of payslips” only works if you’re M’sian Chinese.

I assume you’re single, SG prefers married couples so they can produce babies. Marriage to a local would be better but we don’t encourage marriage of convenience just for PR.

The racial quota is also against you since there are other applicants under “Others” who are married with kids, longer stay, higher pay, etc.

Your chances are literally non-existing, due to your:
- race
- not having spouse
- not having kids
- work in an industry that gives you great mobility options across the world (=high flight risk)
