Lowly Paid Bartender

It will be unlikely that any bar will hire you unless you have already got some sort of permit to work in SG. Bartending salaries are pretty low in SG, even with tips, and they do not usually qualify for any of the permits.

However, if you have got some sort of international reputation, perhaps a large disco or exclusive hotel bar might consider applying for permit for you. Don't expect all the "glory" that other expats get, such as bankers and traders. The SG government does not see a need to pay a premium for foreigners to come to SG to work as bartenders.

Besides that, if you already have some sort of permit to work in SG, then it is just a matter of applying for jobs as and when they come up, or trudging around and asking.
