Being an Early Childhood Educator in Singapore

Post by ChisomObasi » Sun, 04 Feb 2024 7:43 pm

Hello everyone! Good day! I am an undergraduate student who has plans to relocate to Singapore and work as an early childhood educator immediately I graduate from the university. I have several questions I am curious about.

1. How much at least do I need to save (in dollars) to move to Singapore as an educator?
2. Is it true that all schools provide housing bonuses for their teachers? If Yes, is the bonus monetary, or in the form of an apartment?
3. By the time I graduate, I will have a formal teaching experience in a classroom setting of about at least 3 months. Can I still get a job?
4. Can I also work in a pediatric hospital? If yes, what other requirements do I need for that to happen?
5. I am currently learning mandarin, and I am in level A2, that is, I can have simple conversations. Will this help me a lot?
6. What other things do you think or would you advise me to have in order to move here?

Thank you so very much!
