PR application

Post by Seaman007 » Mon, 29 Jan 2024 7:01 pm

Hi all

I am an SPR since 2008 and I got married in 2011. I have daughter of 10 y.o. I have tried PR for both of them almost 6 time and all rejected. my daughter is studying local school now .The last application I submitted in 2022 July. October ICA asked to provide the an embassy certified birth certficate and I have submitted it by first week of November. One week back the submit button went missing. its 19 months already. What are the chances of success. It gives bit stress
...any one with experience give some enlightening.

Thanks in advance :D

What's changed in your situation since the last rejection?
As you probably know, they look at multiple factors, not just length of stay.

Hi Seaman, i feel the first sentence is the answer for your problems. Getting SPR back in 2008 was quite easy as it was a bit relaxed then. When you married in 2011, you might have applied pr for your wife after 2012 or so. The problem is after 2010 itself, the pr approvals are tough for indians and the criteria has been set very high. Based on the number of rejections you say for the pr applicaiton of your wife and daughter, the reason could be that your profile is not up to the expectation of ica. Since you are the sponsor, your profile will be evaluated based on 'Current Standards' of pr requirement.

Since the upload button is missing, lets see what result comes. May be your long stay could help.

Dont worry, even if she doesnt get it this time, once she has writes PSLE, then she will get it pretty easily.

I read this https://www.ica.gov.sg/docs/default-sou ... udents.pdf

1. Foreign students who are studying in Singapore may submit an application for permanent residence (PR) to the
Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for consideration. They must have resided in Singapore for more than 2 years at
the point of application, have passed at least one national exam (i.e. PSLE or GCE ‘N’/’O’/’A’ levels) or are in the Integrated
Programme (IP)
