Yes, i too have done that community activity but this time with full heart as sg has welcomed me with her arms. You can just go through the list of volunteer activities listed in the sg pr journey website. I went to cut vegetables for kitchen that gives almost thousands free meal boxes to public.devopsmaster wrote: ↑Sun, 28 Jan 2024 3:42 pmHi guys,
Received our PR approval recently. We have one new pilot step (atleast as per my knowledge) about sgjourney for PR where we need to engage in community activity for 4 hours. Wanted to check if anyone have done that before and is there any suggestions.
Anyway we planned to do as per instructions, still wanted to check here if there any specific do's/dont's
May be you might have done some volunteering work before applying pr. Or you could be malaysian or chinese (just guessing) where they are already considered well integrated, hence, not requiring such activities.boredahjossii wrote: ↑Wed, 31 Jan 2024 9:24 amMy PR got approved last week but I did not have such requirement in my IPA.
Is this something that is required after appointment with ICA, or something mentioned in IPA itself?

You can either do 2 or 3 activities with 1 or 2 hour durations each, to total at least 4hours. Or 1 activity that can take 4hours. Nothing too specific about do's or don'ts. If you ask me make sure you do check-in when you start your volunteering activity, as it needs to be documented as one component.

It may have been around for a while and nobody actually mentioned it as they may have thought is was just one of the normal steps. It may well be a normal step now. Interesting. Thanks!
The one i said regarding kitchen help for free meals is under sg care in giving.sg onlydevopsmaster wrote: ↑Thu, 01 Feb 2024 6:55 amI checked with them, they strongly recommend do to be specific volunteering with sg care center under giving.sg . So trying to find within that.
