It's been done before. From faulty memory, I think I would submit the paperwork for the LTVP NOW along with a copy of the IPA for your PR. They will expedite the matter and it may be issued on the same day as your PR is issued. You can call them to make sure but I've not been able to find the thread either and for the life of me I don't remember when (year) it took place but it does ring a bell.

As noted, a call to ICA/MOM should clear it up quickly (have you searched the FAQs?)

Further continuing this thread to explain the POST PR APPROVAL matters and other things as it can help someone with similar circumstances.

After PR approval notification on the App, you will find the Approval Letter that can be downloaded from the App. There will be NO approval letter BY POST. I think this is the way it is for everyone this year and in future. Follow the approval letter closely, and arrange the required documents listed in the letter along with other actions needed to be taken like health declaration, etc. Some may be asked to do 5hrs of voluntary activities before you can complete the PR formalities. After completing PR formalities you can choose appointment for your IC collection.
As a funfact, after you finish PR formalities, your ICA App will show the status that your PR has been issued.

Regarding SingPass
After you complete your PR formalities, the SingPass letter indicating that you will receive a singpass password will reach you in 3 to 5 days from the day of PR formalities completion. Another letter will be sent to you on the singpass creation for your PR IC.

LTVP for spouse (already married) of New PR
I believe this post will be helpful for those foreigner who applied PR as a single, and got married to another foreigner when the original PR application is pending. Then, the former applicant gets approved for PR after.

My situation:
As you can find in previous posts, i applied when i was single and in EP, and then got married to my spouse a few months later and brought her in DP. Updated to ICA(PR) that i got married. 6 months after, my spouse started working in DP along with Work permit. Few years ago, those in DP can work if they can just get an LOC. But now things have changed, and can be quite surprising that even some younger HR of companies will get confused if i say my spouse has DP with work permit. They ask me back "Is she in DP or in Work Permit?" For those who are new here, your spouse's DP will be tied to your EP and if they work, the spouse's work permit will also be tied to her DP. So its like your EP tied to her DP and WP.

After PR approval and before PR formalities:
When you complete your PR formalities, then it means that on that day you have become a PR. This will cancel your EP and this means cancelling your spouse's DP/WP. Hence you can do the following steps for a comfortable transition. (Below is just my advice, please ask relevant authorities to confirm if it is the same for your case)

1) Before you go for the day of PR formalities completion, ask your HR to cancel your spouse's DP and then you will get an STVP for 2 to 3 months. This gives her permission to stay here after you finish the PR formalities and become a PR.
Another way is that she can go to home town (as she cant work here anyway) and rest for some time until you can apply visa for her as a sponsor. If she has gone home town, you can apply STVP for her through SAVE which will be approved in 3 days and she will be given 2months(in my case) of short term visit. If your spouse is already in SP or EP or say in a Student pass then no problem and they can continue as usual.

Sponsoring STVP or LTVP:
Before you can sponsor your spouse in anyway, you have to get ready your new singpass, as you can only apply for visit pass through your new singpass.

You can apply LTVP for your spouse with the required documents but make a note that it will take around 6weeks to approve.
-March 1st week: Applied LTVP with PLOC
- April 2nd week: ICA asked document "Letter of permission to marriage contract(From MOM)" and i was quite surprised. We went to ICA directly and an officer told that since my spouse had a work permit (though attached to DP), their system automatically gets triggered to ask for this document.
They suggested to attach a letter online as a reply, stating the reasons that this does not apply for you. Since we got married much before I got PR, it does not apply to us.
-The next day: IPA approved with pending documents (medical report and terms & conditions), which we submitted in few days.
-The next day of submission: LTVP approved and then asked to fix appointment. We got appointment in 2 days from approval and finished in 10 minutes. If you have previously attached employment letter, they will issue temporary PLOC(1 month validity) right away and you are allowed to work on the same day. However, let your spouse get directions from her HR so they can guide further. The employer needs to notify MOM on this LTVP with PLOC approval before anyone can work.
-15 minutes after your appointment with ICA officer: you will receive an email with the digital LTVP ID. No physical ID card will be issued.
-1 day later: you will receive the PLOC document in sponsor's email with validity same as LTVP.

The processing time till getting the PLOC was 7 weeks for us and it is quite fair for me as i am just a new PR. Because, for LTVP, the CPF contribution, salary, length of PR and some other factors will be assessed. Given that i just started CPF contribution, they did not delay our LTVP. Bit scared before when i read many posts here which took even 2 months or more for LTVP approval. Hope this helps.

For all those married, I noticed that having sons seem to help with PR application though you cant really control that .
