I know one of the main criterias for DSA in Singapore in Primary 6 is that the schools will look at your Primary 5 mid year and end year scores to determine if you are shortlisted. As Prelim results for P6 isn't out. For example, a child with AL15 tries to apply for a school with AL6 Cut off point, though his sports is outstanding. It's unlikely the child will be selected via DSA because of the big difference in AL scoring. Therefore, they will prefer to pick someone with AL6 or close to AL6 score for Primary 5. Correct me if I am wrong, but been seeing this pattern
