Or are you just another troll who's been hiding under the bridge for some time and only now are revealing your true colours?
As far as who will moderate the moderators, Both SE and I were here when we made the decision to let one moderator go. Was a number of years ago but it was done as it needing doing. We have our own forum that we use when discussing matters of the board or members of same. We don't always agree either.
I know what you mean, and mostly agree. I do think posters who selflessly provide advice here are worthy of respect. For example, I like to give free grammar tips (!). Also, I received some brilliant, detailed replies to an enquiry of mine once - including one from your good self.
There is a considerable difference in providing advice in response to a question asked and just taking it upon yourself to nitpick somebody's misspelling or bad use of English/grammar. That's not helping anybody but just causing animosity. My spelling is atrocious. Years ago, I could type 80 wpm on the Pitmans scale using the early 1960's IBM Selectric 'golfball' typewriter but today 60 years from when I was able to do that, I'm lucky to do 30 and with my fair share of errors. Sadly, today I can think faster than I can type error free. Used to be my fingers could keep up. So please remember we give advice to our members on the topic that they are on about. Now how they write it. Remember, our regulars are from all over the world and probably less than half use English as their mother tongue. Peace.
You're just exemplifying the double standards again? When Fax Machine insults me, he's a great lad, a forum legend, but when I give something back (with far more wit, I might add), I'm a 'troll.' As Franz Kafka might say, 'this is oppressive and nightmarish!'
Alas, let's move on. I say 'tomato,' you say 'potato'.' The IRA and the British Army both had good points. My goal for 2024 is to encourage everybody on the forum to meet up in Hong Lim Park and sing 'Imagine' by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
Peace be upon Lou Reed.
I think it's about camaraderie rather than any sort of caste system. Many forum regulars are, well, regulars, and all the consistent interaction over time will naturally see a rapport being built.
