School allocation to secondary schools is out.
Here are the list for schools offering the Integrated Program (IP):
1. Raffles Institution/ Raffles Girls School/ Methodist Girls School
COP: 6
2. Hwa Chong Institution/ Nanyang Girls High School
COP: 7(D)
3. CHIJ St. Nicholas’ Girls School
COP: 7(M)
4. Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)/ St. Joseph’s Institution
COP: 7
5. Dunman High School / Catholic High School
COP: 8(M)
6. Temasek Junior College/ Singapore Chinese Girls School/ Cedar Girls Secondary School/ Victoria School/ National Junior College
COP: 8
7. River Valley High School
COP: 9(M)
Other schools:
1. Crescent Girls School
COP: 11
2. Paya Lebar Methodist School
COP: 11
3. Choa Chu Kang Secondary
COP: 20
I would think the Cut off points has been lowered averagely AL1-2 points compared to Y2022. So many if based on Y2022's COP to apply might find their children not being able to get in the schools as the Y2023's COP is lower (other schools other than IP schools).
Please feel free to update this list of COP if you have them.

What does the M stand for?
For higher chinese, the grades are
D distinction
M merit
P pass
F fail
Not the typical 1,2,3… types of grade

I know that much, but what does that have to do with the cut off point? You need to get a certain grade for chinese in addition to other subjects?

Some schools require you to take PSLE Higher Chinese so it would be something like this AL10(M) means your score has to be AL 10 and Higher Chinese a merit to qualify for the school.

Interesting. So what if a child scores significantly below the AL COP but misses the HCL requirement by a grade?

Then can't get in. They will select the ones based on their min requirement. So it two students same AL score, but one has HCL Distinction and the other has Merit, the school selects the one with Distinction, whoever is higher.

Can you share a sentence or short passage that contains the "M" reference to give it some context?

Can you just read the thread?
Or better yet, get off of mommy's phone/pc.

Unfortunate. There are plenty of kids who are gifted in many subjects but don't have mother tongue as their strong suit. Sad that they may miss out.

It would also be nice if we could sometimes not focus too much on this three digits to define a child.
