Ethnic quota is low. Chances will improve over time, especially if she gets a job and starts earning an income, and you have children.nyanwin wrote: ↑Tue, 26 Dec 2023 3:46 pm- How long you’ve been in your current job
nearly 5 years
- Spouse’s age, race, nationality, income
27,Same race and nationality, dependent pass,
- How long married to spouse
1 year
- How long spouse has been working and been in SG
She is on DP and not working
Do we have a slim chance to try our luck ? Or is it impossible for now?Lisafuller wrote: ↑Tue, 26 Dec 2023 4:49 pmEthnic quota is low. No such thing as impossible, but chances are likely very very low.nyanwin wrote: ↑Tue, 26 Dec 2023 7:13 pmDo we have a slim chance to try our luck ? Agree. At the moment it would come across as a marriage of convenience, which is unfortunate but nevertheless the truth.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Tue, 26 Dec 2023 9:01 pmUntil you are married for at least two years before the application date (or have a child after the wife being here for at least one year from the marriage) I think you chances are virtually nil. Even if you tick all the boxes of known benefits (but not necessarily engraved in stone), with your nationality and the fact that your wife has never worked in Singapore, it may well be viewed as a marriage of convenience. I'm not suggesting that it is, but it has happened so many times over the years it why the other parameters came about over the years .(2 years of marriage, birth of children, wife also working here before the marriage, etc..) At the moment you are going to need a huge bucket of luck, I fear.
