PR Chances 2023

Post by coupleofhopefuls » Mon, 27 Nov 2023 9:31 pm

Hi all, wondering what are the realistic chances we have in our PR application?

We applied in mid-June 2023, probably too eager in expecting a response from ICA:

Main Applicant
Ethnicity: Malaysian Chinese
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Age: 29
Marital Status: Married
Visa: EP
Job title: Assistant Manager
Salary: ~ SGD5k++
Total work experience: 5 years overall, 1 year in SG

Wife
Main Applicant
Ethnicity: Malaysian Chinese
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Age: 32
Marital Status: Married
Visa: EP
Job title: Manager
Salary: ~ SGD5k++
Total work experience: 5 years overall, 1 year in SG

Thanks in advance :D

People have waited 27 months for a result for their PR. You have to be patient.

Why both of you apply separately as “main applicants” instead of together as a family unit? Very suspicious.

If rejected now, it’s because both your stay in Singapore is too short and applied separately.

Eventually will get PR after two or three continuous income tax assessments and if have baby. Apply as family unit next time.

Would also like to ask here in this latest PR Hopeful thread.

We recently received our PR Rejection and was wondering if singaporeexpats community has some advise on when is the best time to re-apply.

Main Applicant/Husband:

Ethnicity: Others(Filipino)
Education: Diploma
Age: 32
Marital Status: Married
Job title: Video Producer
Salary: ~ SGD 5k / Month
Total work experience: 8 years all in SG

Wife:

Ethnicity: Others
Education: Masters Degree
Age: 34
Marital Status: Married
Job title: Sales Manager

--

We have been married for less than a year when we applied for PR which was around 6 months ago.

Now, we are 1 yr plus married. We have a 3Room HDB apartment under my Husband, and we have been staying here for 7 months.

Upcoming update for the next year:

Thank you in advanced!!

Mid June would make it just over a five month wait, you'll have to be patient. Don't stress.

You got rejected ‘cos you applied too soon after getting married. Should have waited for 2 years of marriage before applying. Even if your marriage & love are genuine, applying so soon after the wedding signals to ICA you got married just for PR.

Re-apply after the baby is born. Don’t be so hasty. Your husband can improve salary as well.

My bad I copy pasted without checking properly, yes we applied as a family and hopefully everything goes well. Will be patient :)
