PR chances - Indian Australian

Post by Adrashmi » Fri, 24 Nov 2023 10:32 am

Hi,
Just thought of getting a general consensus here about our PR chances. We are an Indian born Australian couple with two kids a boy and a girl.

Husband
Age - 39 years
Salary 12k PM

Wife
Age - 36
Salary 10k PM

Boy and girl are 4 years of age (twins).
Time in SG - 3 years.

We understand that we are not in favorable race but does Au citizenship hold any relevance? Also we might be at a disadvantage when comes to age. Thanks for reading, any thoughts are appreciated.

Going to be quite impossible. Also, are you born as an AU citizen or is it naturalized citizen? Either way it is going to be close to impossible, because the competition is severe among indians who have been here longer than you. Since you are just here for 3years with higher salaries and being an indian race, i think i can boldly say you can forget pr for next few years. Basically pr is seen as a step towards SG citizenship, so why should they waste 4 pr slots for people in your situation, who will never let go of their AU citizenship? Long gone are the days where SG will allow being used up by someone from AU, EU, or US citizenship for pr, as these people will just return to their countries after making money. So having your AU citizenship most likely wont be seen as positive, may be i am wrong. However, your ages can be a great problem.

On the other hand, you can apply and try. Who knows you may get it if you have something positive, but personally i feel the chances could be even -100%. Do update here if you get approved.
