Help!! I am looking at an apartment in Lucky Tower on Grange Road. The apt looks nice but the building looks a little run down. Does anybody have ANY information at all to share on this building? I have heard that there were elevator problems in the past - any knowledge of this? Also - type of people that live there? European? Japanese? Locals? Also - any idea of the character of the place? We used to live in Aspen Heights and there was a very warm feeling to the building. Trying to determine the character of Lucky Tower...
THANKS!

It is known as Leaky Tower to many. Lots of piping problems! Great layout and atmosphere though! Mix of people -- Brits, Americans, Australians, Indians, Asians, etc. Lots of kids. Good luck and be sure to check the aircon and plumbing pipes!

Thanks GalPal!
I really appreciate your comments. Taking on a two year lease can be a big leap of faith and insight like your's is very helpful. Did you live there? Anything more to add?

I have not looked at a spring grove apt, but i have seen the grounds from the outside and they look absolutely beautiful. Nevertheless, my wife claims the 4 bedroom apts are too small. While we did live in Aspen Heights (1600 sq ft 4 bedroom) while expecting our first child, now that we have 2 children, it seems that we simply need a bit more room - and spring grove would be too tight. How large are the 4 bedroom apts in Spring Grove?

Hi, I believe the 4 bedrooms are around 1780 but the penthouses are 2700. I agree that the smaller layouts may be a little tight. We do have friends with 3 kids and a helper and they live in the 4br but admit it is pretty tight. We also have friends who live a Yong An Park and Leonie - they are both older but their units are remodeled and there are lots of kids. Just some ideas... welcome to Singapore.
