Work permit expired

Hi i have this situation where i am a singaporean and my fiancee is cuban his work permit is expiring soon and right now we are applying for approval on out married by mom. I just need some clarification for those who know after the work permit end can he travel to malaysia johor bahru? Because we still need to go back singapore after a month to register for our rom. I need advice from anyone who have the same situation. Because my fiancee is not going back to cuba as we have to settle some paper work for our marriage registration. So we planning to go out to malaysia for couple of months while waiting for the approval on our marriage application.

how long ago did you apply? MOM's supposed to get back to you on the result within 4 weeks.
