PR rejected. Should I wait for 6 months?

Post by captain_blueballs » Fri, 08 Sep 2023 11:45 am

Hey peeps,

Our application was rejected today after 7 months (weep).

I want to resubmit it over the weekend but I've spoken to an agent who told me to wait for 6 months as an immediate resubmission is classed as an 'appeal' with no guarantees of a favourable outcome.

That's fine but I just don't see the point of waiting for another 6 months unless it impacts the success rate (I'm not sure why it would) because our circumstances are unlikely to change over the next 6 months

Our situation:

-Both UK nationals
-Married 41 & 43 year olds
-I'm the founder of a Singaporean registered marketing agency. My wife works for an F&B conglomerate
-We're both on EPs. Mine is registered through my own business
-Our combined salaries are $300,000+ per year

Has anyone reapplied as soon as they were rejected and managed to get PR?

Thanks in advance.

How long are you in SG?
Educational qualifications?
How many employees(locals) do you employ?
Individual sponsor salary?

6 months? Lol - I think the ICA will keep those balls blue if you apply so soon after rejection.

It seems like you dont know how difficult it is to get PR. I guess you have come to sg only a few years ago. You dont seem to realize the real challenge and competition you are facing. Also, is your kid studying here?
I dont know what to say, You may have to take a short course on "Pr approval chances and reality in SG"

Oh bullshit. Don't waste money or time w agent. You need to wait 12 month unless a major change of circumstance happens. Agent based applications go to the bottom of the pile.

If your race is Caucasian you need to be cognizant that there are ~500 caucasian applications per year accepted.
