Summer Swim Team?

Post by alnative » Sat, 12 Aug 2023 2:36 am

Our family plans to move to Singapore from the US in 3-4 years. In the meantime, we plan to spend the summers (June - August) there. The only problem is that our daughter loves doing the summer swim team in our neighborhood. Are there summer swim leagues in Singapore? I can't tell from what I am finding online.

Why would there be? We are 1 degree off of the equator. It's summer 365 days a year if you don't count the rainy days.

You might call up the Singapore American School — I know they used to have “Fighting Fish” competitive swimming program (not sure about now) which was under SACAC (anyone could join for a fee).

No details online, but here is a snippet from the SAS website:

The Singapore American Community Action Council (SACAC), now called SAS Community Sports and Activities, established in 1973, welcomes all families to join its SAS-based sporting activities for youth and adults.
