National Service Exit Permit

Post by Kathryn » Mon, 07 Aug 2023 8:50 am

I applied Exit Permit for my 13yr old boy. I have 2 doubts :

First doubt is how many times can we renew the Exit Permit?
For eg, I did the EP today and put it for less than 2years. In 2025, I will need to renew and he will turn 15 so can I extend for 1.5years so that no need to pay bond and then in 2027, I can extend EP again for another 2years before he serves NS?

Second doubt is can I use my house in SG as a Bankers Guarantee for paying the bond?

Thanks in advance.

Information sharing only, for confirmed details contact official. you can apply for renewal from overseas, no limit, until you meet all conditions, if satisfy you get renewal. once reach 16.5 either submit bond, or surety bond (with two local sureties) if you met certain conditions, like applicant should be with parents, parents employed, etc.,

OP : No bond requirement when you apply at the age 13 will be twice. Which means at 13 apply for 1 yr and 364 which will lead to the age of 15, then do it again till he passed 16 1/2 . No bond as long as it is less than 2 years
By then he will need to do medical check up etc in Singapore or overseas to be submitted to CMPB
House cannot be used as bond. Banker's guarantee form of assurance in the form monetary submission

For multiple renewals, consult the relevant authorities like the Ministry of Defence or Immigration. Typically, extensions are granted based on circumstances. Regarding using your house as a Banker's Guarantee, it's best to confirm with the issuing authority for specific requirements and eligibility criteria. Best wishes with your application.
