If you are adamant that he will not be enrolling in the local P1, probably best to have another plan that is executable on short notice.
I was thinking the same thing — if push comes to shove, there are some good
International Schools that have opened up across the border in recent years, both with American and British curriculum. Once your child has some non-local school under their belt, I think you’ll have a better shot at getting a waiver approved here.

I was thinking more like a place to live and work in the UK. Bookmark British Airways' website and have the Go-Bag sitting in the bomb shelter.

The best way to actually absolutely guarantee this is for the child to start school in the UK. Because the Singapore school system is SO aggressive in the first few years very few children can rotate back into it once they are out (successfully). The most common approval for SC to go into the FSS is for returning Singapore Citizen children.

Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Not really a viable option though, because I’m not going to be working back in the UK so having to return home is a last resort.
My firm are quite likely to move me around different regions, though. I’m not sure if that’s any use as a justification however because I can’t guarantee it.

Late to this thread, but l'm in a similar situation as you. I noticed you posted this back in 2023 and was wondering if you ever managed to get the MOE waiver?

If you don’t get a waiver, there are always
International Schools just across the border, assuming you are really dead set on it.
