SG needs babies. Married couples beget babies. So yes, being married is better, being married to a local also means a higher tendency to settle down here for good which is what the permanent in permanent residency stands for.

You are classified under “Others” race which has the largest number of applicants for the smallest quota. This quota will definitely prioritise a married applicant. Preferably married to a local. Bonus if there are already offspring.

I believe I have spelled it out for you on why you keep getting rejected. Don’t enter a marriage of convenience for the sake of PR though.

Or have a plan B aka migrate to another country that is easier to get PR.
Strange. Provided that nowadays only Indian foreign families can be considered "permanent". And ironically, I am the most localized angmoh you have probably met in your life.

Nah, I'm not gonna marry a local. All they want is money. Better just bang random locals - they are sexually deprived anyway, so as soon as they find out that they wouldn't have any benefit from you, you just move to the next one.

Migrating to another country because of a PR? Dude, you must be kidding me. This sounds so desperate, I don't want to be in such person's shoes.

It's so funny that by rejecting my application, they will approve 50 others who will be from India or any other country which will never adopt the Singaporean lifestyle. But whatever. Thanks everyone for your feedback, although it was nothing I didn't expect to hear.
You sound pretty emotionally charged for someone who claims not to care.

Hello,

These are my details:

Gender: male
Race: caucasian (from EU)
age: 43
Living and working in Singapore for 9 years
Occupation: manager in a very big international IT company
Not married
Applied for PR more than 5 times (not sure how many though - maybe 6-7)

Initially the rejections were without any guidance or explanation - just the standard "feel free to continue staying here on your valid EP".

Since last time though, in the rejection letter they started adding this:

Thank you for your interest in Singapore permanent residence (PR).

1 We have evaluated your application carefully, taking into consideration all the
documents you have submitted. However, we regret to inform you that your application is not
successful.
2 You may submit an application again if there is a change in your circumstances (from the information provided in this application). Nevertheless, you can continue to work and reside here on your valid Work Pass.

Does anyone have any remote idea what these "circumstances" they are talking about are? If it's about salary, I had a raise between the last year's application and now, and yet they still want "change in circumstances". Do they want me to get married to a local and have a boy?

Feel free to be cynical as much as you want.

Thank you!
To be frank, it seems as though the ICA is not keen on having you. My suspicion is that other than your professional expertise, you add no value to the country. Which is why you are on EP.

This may sound harsh, but you're not exactly young to be considered for PR. It seems like marrying and having kids is a longshot for you, at least in the eyes of the ICA. If you're a white guy working in IT you probably make good money so it's almost definitely not your salary that's the issue.

For a guy who claims to not be desperate for a Singapore PR, you seem to have applied a ton of times and seem quite butt hurt that they rejected you. A PR in a country with no future 🤔
Haha. Of course you will say that. But there are two reasons behind it. First, I do it for fun (I am quite bored most of the time) and second, I don't like rejections. I am used to achieving what I want and so far I've always gotten what I want sooner or later.
You definitely sound like the kind of guy ladies would want to have a beer with. It's shocking you haven't found somebody to marry yet.

No matter how much fun you're having with random locals, ICA already sees you as an old man who has already lost or soon going to lose his capability to provide an offspring and contribute towards building future generation. May be you've already realised it and that's why you're venting out your frustration on this forum. Anyways, good luck for your future applications but I don't see a point in wasting even $100, better use that to buy beer for random locals in a bar.
You seem to be some kind of expert in male reproductive functions. Pardon me for asking for a free advice, but may I know at what age males lose their capability to "provide offspring"? I am asking for a friend. :D

Also, if you think that the "future generation" in Singapore has future, then you don't seem to have noticed what happened with the "future generation" after the covid nonsense.
I'm pretty sure you know this, but nobody's talking about your biological ability to reproduce. Socially speaking, it's unlikely that you'll marry and have kids soon, when compared to a younger person with your same credentials.

And, if you believe that singapore has no future, why are you so intent on staying here?

Most countries in the world nowadays have no future (or at least not a bright one), if you think a bit more globally. But here is easy, convenient, and there a tremendous amount of choice for... encounters, if you get what I mean. I wish I had a dollar every time I was asked this nonsense question.

I’m puzzled, to say the least.

Apply PR for fun? Because you are bored?
Too good for any rejection?
Bang random locals cuz they are sexually deprived anyway?
50 indians are less than you?

In case you somehow thought this made you look cook, no it doesn’t :)

I know quite a handful of peeps who make solid 7 figures and nope, none of them behaves like you. Perhaps time to rethink if you are really that big a deal, at least to Singapore?

While I can understand your frustration, your post just proved ICA absolutely right. In order for Singapore to tolerate this level of high and mighty snobbishness, you are likely not there just yet.

Nope, I’m not attacking you. Just needed to say this, at the expense of getting banned by admins. I just thought Respect for the place YOU choose to leave home for is called for. And pretty basic.

One of the reasons, yes. What's wrong with it? Singapore is a country which they made for fun and they are not hiding it, are they? Look at Sentosa and the other shiny nonsense places they made to show off with by stealing the nature from locals.

Too good for any rejection?

Too good? I didn't say this.

Bang random locals cuz they are sexually deprived anyway?

And this is not true? Have you looked around? Do you take public transport or you drive a car? If you have ever taken public transport, you would have definitely noticed the grumpy local women who have never seen a dick for the past 1 year. And this is where I come to help. This is what I contribute to this tik-tok and instagram zombie society. Am I not good enough to be given PR because of this?

50 indians are less than you?

I didn't say anything even remotely hinting such thing.

In case you somehow thought this made you look cook, no it doesn’t :)

I am not a cook. But I deeply respect cooks.

I know quite a handful of peeps who make solid 7 figures and nope, none of them behaves like you. Perhaps time to rethink if you are really that big a deal, at least to Singapore?

When did I say that I am big deal, dude? Or you like to imagine things?

While I can understand your frustration, your post just proved ICA absolutely right. In order for Singapore to tolerate this level of high and mighty snobbishness, you are likely not there just yet.

Why does everyone here keeps repeating this word "frustration"? I am not even remotely frustrated, I was just trying to clarify a nonsense. Do I look like frustrated or desperate or anything? You guys keep imagining things.

Nope, I’m not attacking you. Just needed to say this, at the expense of getting banned by admins. I just thought Respect for the place YOU choose to leave home for is called for. And pretty basic.

Lol! Sorry. I forgot that nowadays people simply get banned or cancelled because they don't repeat the narrative like parrots. I hope you won't get banned because you were trying to ask questions.

I think it's a pretty fair assessment.

I just tried to answer his question of why the rejection.

Pretty straightforward. ICA was probably smarter than he thought. They chose not to adopt another disrespectful white dude. From the way you mentioned “50 indians”, “always get what I want” or “grumpy sexually deprived women”, you answered yourself. You are obviously not welcomed nor needed, for your plain wrong personality, integrity and value. A combination of exactly what this country isn’t interested in.

On a side note, we all know why you had to leave home in the first place. So think twice before acting ultra entitled. It’s late 2023 and it’s Singapore. The supreme white trend is over.

You love taking words out of context and draw flat conclusions huh? May I know, from the things I mentioned, what exactly is not true? I am curious.
And, by the way, do I sense some racism here? 🤔

Can I throw some fuel on the fire for the benefit of the ladies here. You'll enjoy this...

Whether his nick is his or not, I'm guessing not, as it's the stage name of a well known Latino male Porn actor based in Miami, Fl. Based on OP's comments on here it kind of fits the bill. Sadly, our poster does the guy no favours other than giving that industry a bad name.

Sir, hats down to you! Although I just lost $100, you are the first one who got it for less than a week. Seriously, we were having couple of drinks with a friend last week and we decided to spin up this joke. Initially the idea was the put the name Dick Steele, but we thought that it would be too screaming. And although the initial direction was a bit misguided, I told him that if anyone gets it, I would give him $100. So... nothing else to say. But the "white guy" shit was hilarious, as we are both local indians. :D

Apologies to everyone and you can delete the thread if you want.
