PR application keeps getting rejected. Why?

SG needs babies. Married couples beget babies. So yes, being married is better, being married to a local also means a higher tendency to settle down here for good which is what the permanent in permanent residency stands for.

You are classified under “Others” race which has the largest number of applicants for the smallest quota. This quota will definitely prioritise a married applicant. Preferably married to a local. Bonus if there are already offspring.

I believe I have spelled it out for you on why you keep getting rejected. Don’t enter a marriage of convenience for the sake of PR though.

Or have a plan B aka migrate to another country that is easier to get PR.

These are my details:

Gender: male
Race: caucasian (from EU)
age: 43
Living and working in Singapore for 9 years
Occupation: manager in a very big international IT company
Not married
Applied for PR more than 5 times (not sure how many though - maybe 6-7)

Initially the rejections were without any guidance or explanation - just the standard "feel free to continue staying here on your valid EP".

Since last time though, in the rejection letter they started adding this:

Thank you for your interest in Singapore permanent residence (PR).

1 We have evaluated your application carefully, taking into consideration all the
documents you have submitted. However, we regret to inform you that your application is not
successful.
2 You may submit an application again if there is a change in your circumstances (from the information provided in this application). Nevertheless, you can continue to work and reside here on your valid Work Pass.


Does anyone have any remote idea what these "circumstances" they are talking about are? If it's about salary, I had a raise between the last year's application and now, and yet they still want "change in circumstances". Do they want me to get married to a local and have a boy?

To be frank, it seems as though the ICA is not keen on having you. My suspicion is that other than your professional expertise, you add no value to the country. Which is why you are on EP.

This may sound harsh, but you're not exactly young to be considered for PR. It seems like marrying and having kids is a longshot for you, at least in the eyes of the ICA. If you're a white guy working in IT you probably make good money so it's almost definitely not your salary that's the issue.

Haha. Of course you will say that. But there are two reasons behind it. First, I do it for fun (I am quite bored most of the time) and second, I don't like rejections. I am used to achieving what I want and so far I've always gotten what I want sooner or later.
