Low chance now.

If you work and reside here for another 4-5 years, increase your salary and then apply you MAY have a chance later.

How long has your wife been in Singapore? Chances aren't great now, but will increase when you have children.

This is a throwaway answer for obvious reasons.

Good Luck. I feel you will need it.

Not sure how do people get around 300K to 400K in finance before turning 30 and really depressing for others. Yeah, they have less overheads and just need to pay for office space and computers and other miniscule things.

May be i should have studied finance ](*,)

Hi,

I applied PR for my wife and it’s been 6 months. ICA recently asked to upload my wife’s educational certs onto the online portal. However she did not complete elementary school education therefore no cert at all and I have emailed them to tell them this fact.

Sponsor (me) profile:
Singaporean
Masters from NUS
36 yo
Annual salary 120K SGD

Applicant (wife) profile:
Burmese (non Chinese)
No formal education
30 yo
Staying in sg since 2017
Housewife

Others:
2 young Singapore citizen boys of which my wife is the mother

Are educational qualifications a big factor in this?
And when ICA starts asking for information does that mean outcome is near?
I just started a new job as well and pending upload of employment letter from new employer.
Pls feedback! Thank u!

^ ICA asking you for documents this year does not mean an outcome will be out this year. They can make you wait for 6 more months, who knows?

If we wanna over analyse the graduate mothers scheme in the 80s and what LKY said in his memoir about “parents with higher education tend to have kids who will be better educated” (para-phrasing here but it’s something along those lines), then yes, education does play a part for PR application.

But anyway… there are plenty of PRs and citizens with primary school education or didn’t complete pri sch at all so it shouldn’t be that big of an issue. She birthed Singaporeans which is a plus and I assume she has integrated into SG society. And you earn enough to support the family (assuming it’s your new job giving you $120K annual salary) so I guess it should be fairly decent chance.
