Can leave Singapore before I pick up my work pass card?

I recently finished my work pass card registration but I haven't received the physical card yet. The card is actually sent to our HR departnment. Can I leave Singapore before receiving the card? Someone told me as long as I have a Singpass account, no need to carry the physical card to travel abroad. I'd like to know if anyone has similar experience and how to deal with it? Thanks!

What type of visa are you currently in? Are you with the IPA(inprinciple approval letter)?

they only check my passport. And I have a notification letter with me bu they never check it.

It is not true that you don't need to carry a physical visa! Let's say you go for a trip to Hong Kong. Before your return flight, the staff at the HK airport can see that your flight to Singapore is the final leg and they can ask you about your status in Singapore, and then you should show the visa. I don't think that Singpass would help in this scenario...
I assume you might use IPA document for now for the same purpose, maybe someone can confirm

Depends on your passport. If you can enter Singapore visa free, you won't face issues with the airlines.

Concur with gold spot. If your passport allows you to enter visa free, your status is irrelevant.
