I believe I would have had the same response regardless of who was onboard. Crazy freak accident - the idea of implosion is just a lot to wrap your head around. Also the irony of history repeating itself - the OceanGate founder was told the vessel was unsafe for the journey but went along with it, in the same way the captain of the titanic went full steam ahead despite knowing about icebergs in the area. I mean if I had a billion dollars, my primary aim would be to live as long as possible, like Golum from lord of the rings, lol. The last thing I would do is take any kind of risk that would kill me.
