Titanic submarine missing

It has a lot to do with who was on board. Billionaires vs nameless faceless economic refugees.

That may have contributed to the media buzz, but in all fairness only 2/5 passengers were billionaires and neither was very well known.

I just find it is a bit unreal. Billionaires with so much money and yet got killed in such a freak way.

I mean if I had a billion dollars, my primary aim would be to live as long as possible, like Golum from lord of the rings, lol. The last thing I would do is take any kind of risk that would kill me.

I believe I would have had the same response regardless of who was onboard. Crazy freak accident - the idea of implosion is just a lot to wrap your head around. Also the irony of history repeating itself - the OceanGate founder was told the vessel was unsafe for the journey but went along with it, in the same way the captain of the titanic went full steam ahead despite knowing about icebergs in the area. Both perished.
