1.
He says he wants to share, but does not want to give the critical details like salary, job field, education, etc. Just gives vague details
a. Salary - I don't want to provide my salary details, but it is enough to sponsor my mother on LTVP
b. Job Field - Software Engineering
c. Education - I did BTech in IT from one of the Tier 1 college in Kerala and my wife did MCA from Amrita school of engineering Coimbatore.

2.
He wants to mention indian, as indians are the desperate ones and abundant in number applying for pr for a very small quota. So want to give hope for them and later see if anyone PMs him
I'm Indian and what else I should say lol. Yeah you are correct, I want to give hope to everyone that getting a PR for Indians are possible! Improve your profile and keep applying! :)

3.
Quite coincidental that both husband and wife are same age, not saying its unusual, but looks like as if he does not want to think much about age difference and just put both age as same. Also, most of the indians who apply with family are in this age group of around 35. Again, wants to increase the customer sample size. Wants to say it as a son, indicating that it increased his chances.
We dated for 5 years , been married for 10 years and its good to marry someone who don't have that much generation gap you know 8-)

4.
Wants to say the process time is just 4 months, which is quite impossible in my opinion, even if you tick all the boxes. But, he wants to give this shock to lure people to further ask opinion, who can later become his customers
4 months. I am also surprised as you are!

5.
Not many wait for 7 years between application, although i am not saying it is wrong. He wants to say the below as his improvements during this time gap, but if you look closely at them it is not of something great. Just usual things most indians do in their job
May be ICA think some of them are pretty ok!

a.
Known fact
- Yep
b.
Being in start ups are not much of an advantage in my opinion
- 6 years in Singapore based unicorn start up. Did you miss the UNICORN part?
c.
This looks like those regular suggestions from pr agency people, i.e., organize or conduct social or technical events or meetings related to work or general life. The key would be if you can organize or be a part of such events it means you had more social interaction which they see as integration
- ](*,)
d.
Many professionals do this as part of their job, especially may be someone in finance. Thereby, making this profile look similar to theirs and give hope for them
- I started applying as speaker because I wanted to travel around the world. 14 countries and counting.
e.
And do I really have to say about volunteering after being in this forum for a while?
- You shouldn't do karma with a desire. https://vivekavani.com/bhagavad-gita-ch ... -verse-47/
f.
just wanted to sound like a genuine person
Thank you!

Hi can you share more in detail like education, is your kids got into local school are they born in sg please as we are also applying for more then 10 yrs now same criteria but kid to International School
Hi Priya,

Like HopeisLife mentioned, we can't compare the profiles because backgrounds are different for everyone. Identify the weakness of your profile and slowly strengthen it over time. Again, we don't have any concrete evidence of what ICA is really considering. And being of Indian origin, the competition is very, very high.

And coming to your question, my son was born in India and came to Singapore after the delivery. He has not started P1,still in N2.

Thanks

Hmm, interesting. Pretty much looks like your salaries, son and job field in SG favoured start up are likely to be key reasons, in my opinion. Most likely the last factor moved the scales to your favor. I do see many posts that looks slightly suspicious, hence, my previous comment. My apologies if your story is true. Anyway, at least Ms. Priya might have got her answers now.

Well, it should not be a big surprise as you are already a citizen. Not saying all citizen's spouse get it when applied, but higher probability of getting it in some time in future. The difficult part could be that your wife's age is over 45 and not having a formal education. However, since you have the magical spell of 'SGC' things fell in your favor.

Generally speaking appeals are a waste of time and effort. I only know of a hand full that have been successful after 20 years on the forum, all of them were due to of material facts that were inadvertently or ignorantly left off the original application. So. If the reason you are appealing are facts that were left off the original application when filed and were for something that took place before it was filed, you "may" stand a chance. Otherwise, you are donating money to the government in the application fee. Not much more. AND you will have to wait that much longer before filing again as they will likely see it as an application of desperation unless there are major changes. Been there, done that, albeit 36 years ago.
