PR Approved 2023

Post by Hope2023 » Mon, 12 Jun 2023 8:50 am

Last 13 years I am in singapore each time we apply and rejected and appealed and pending ..the cycle was infinite.

Yesterday night as usual every Sunday midnight I login and check for any chance..when I lazily scroll I saw my PR approved my whole family pr approved. This is so surreal.

Our Profile:
Indian Family
Husband EP 15 years in sg
Wife Previously in SP recently changed EP. 13 years in sg.
1 boy 1 girl

Thanks to this forum, I have read each and every comment about PR in last 10 years. You guys doing awesome job those who share their story.

Our PR story:

Using agents didn't help us we were rejected don't waste time using agents. That's my only advice.

God - Time - Perseverance

Thanks,

Congrats Hope2023! I admire your perseverance. I've just received my 1st rejection as a couple yesterday and I am wondering if I should persevere or find a greener pasture. Anw, would you mind sharing your profile and your PR journey (like how many times you applied, under what circumstances)?

Congratulations! Mine took 9 months... got it in my first try and was pretty straightforward. Proving integration is the most important thing.

My profile - Business role in a large tech company with stellar track record of performance and trajectory
Bachelor’s degree in a top 25 degree university in the world
Late 20s without children
Stayed in the country for 2.5 years
Cantonese-speaking and from HK (helps with integration I assume?)

Congrats to u From hk.

Quota matters ..different nationality different quota..

For indian quota the struggle is 4 to 5 times tougher than other nationalities honestly

Last 13 years we tried everything we seen in this forum. But I am not recommending anything coz we don't know if it works.

One big regret is going to AGENCY - paid in the first 2 attempts waste of money don't use agency.

They are just scam to cheat people..they shut down companies and come back with new name after warningg from gov...and yet again cheat people so don't fall for the agencies who say they can get u pr. That's a blind lie.

They cant it's in the power of ica.

Stay long in singapore, integrate, integrate.

Thanks

Hi,

How many months it took to receive the rejection last year dec 2022. My profile is similar to yours. Indian, 15 years in sg, two kids in local primary school, applied and pending 10 months.

What are the key points you included in your appeal?

Thank you,

Congratulations! And yes, unfortunately, it appears that agents don't work. They just cost money and offer false hope.

Hello All,

Thanks for viewing my post.

I have generally been a silent spectator in this group, so far with only one post a few years ago. I have recently received approval for Singapore PR and post completion of formalities I am a Singapore PR now. I collected a lot of good insights and could decode a lot of myths/interesting thoughts that people comment/post about.

The purpose of this post is to thank the admins, moderators, and other content posters and share a bit of insight with other wannabe Singapore PRs.

For the benefit of others here is a bit of background.
Indian Family of 4 (husband, wife & 2 daughters)
We have only one income
Daughters aged 6 & 9 go to MOE-affiliated local primary schools.
Work in the banking sector (Non-IT)
In Singapore for Education 2005 to 2006 (Post 2006 was in Middle East & India)
Work in Singapore from 2014 till now. (in Total 10 years)
First application in 2017 - Rejected after 10 months' wait.
Second application in Nov 2022
Additional documentation request in 5 months April 2023. (confirming the school name for my younger daughter who moved from Kindergarten to Primary in the midst of the application).
In May 2023 received the IPA letter.
Yes CPF portal showed an update 3 days prior to the approval on the ICA inquiry page.
Never used the help of any agent - Simply overrated.
Stuck to the basic information requested on the form, not a single letter or word extra than requested.
Documents - Just shared the Annex A, DOB Cert, Graduation & Post Graduation documents, Passports, Marriage certificate, EP, and Work experience letter with the mere date of service & DP for dependents. No accolades, references, or other credential documents.
End-to-end application to approval was 6 months & 10 days.

Once again, lots of gratitude, this forum has been very helpful.

To be honest, i cant believe you got PR with just 6months of processing time. Quite surprising for me, but congratulations anyway. It is quite unbelievable for me (as if someone is saying 2+2=5), as your family profile is similar to tons of indian families who apply for PR.

May be your education here back in 2005 to 2006 supported your profile a bit. Also, can you share your occupation field or job and salary? since you say you are a single earner.

Belated congratulations.

May I know what information did you share with your appeal? Did it include any significant information that was missed out during your application?

I sent a new cover letter stating the reason for appeal
We bought a commercial property in that period.
