There's nothing of the sort in my area, at least that I know of. How much did it set you back?
These shoe/bag repair shops tend to be in hidden corners in the malls. Either in basement or top floor. Sometimes they do key duplications too. Maybe not all the ones in town but probably the heartlands? I vaguely recall seeing such a shop in Plaza Sing.
There used to be one in Bukit Timah Plaza. Most outdated mall in my area. Gone now...

Mr. Minit has been around here for the 40 years I've been here.
They've upgraded and taken in more stuff but still provide a reasonably quick and effective repair service. (albeit not as cheap as the cobbler sitting on the elevated walkway landings like years ago

Such no-physical-shop cobblers were common in the heartlands but I guess they have passed away or too old to continue the trade. The ones in the malls are pretty good.

Never heard of the chain, maybe it started out as one store named after (Mr Minit) and then expanded over the years.

That seems to be the case unfortunately. Older hawkers too, are dying out one by one. We are seeing a transition between one generation to another.

If I'm not mistaken, it's actually a Japanese chain.

Well, it still had to have pretty humble origins for being here for 40 years. Glad they're thriving!
