Hello everyone,
I've been a long-time lurker of this forum and would like to know my chances, and if there are any new trends you notice. I applied in 2021-Feb, and in 2021-Aug I submitted documents to prove my Chinese ethnicity when ICA asked, in 2022-Jan received a rejection. I then applied again in 2022-Sep. It's been around 6 months since I applied the second time and they haven't asked me for extra documents yet (in first app, at 6months they asked me for further documents). If I submitted extra documents during the first application, will they ask for the same extra documents during the second application?
I see in the forumn that the general recommendation is to wait 2 years after rejection unless there are changes, so is a salary increment of 2k and a promotion considered one? Also, I'm wondering whether there's a trend that it's harder for Chinese ethnicity to get PR (given the influx of Chinese, not sure whether this true or not, I've just seem news articles about more mainlanders/ hk coming to SG) ? Contrary to some posts in the forum, I have 3 friends from the same uni program as me, with Indian passports, and salaries around the same and they all got PR... but I know some ethnically Chinese Indonesians from my school who got rejected.
